I knew you were coming so I baked you a cake, not just any wedding cake but the cake that would stop traffic when guests enter the dining area at the reception. First we couldn’t decide on chocolate on chocolate ganache, red velvet with french buttercream, hazelnut spongecake with a mocha buttercream, black forest cake with dark and white chocolate ganache, or any other variety of sinfully rich, unique flavored cakes that are an even bigger feast for the palate Carrot, Espresso, Gingerbread and the list went on and on. We were only limited by our imaginations and we considered fondant and flowers, shells, scrollwork and monograms of multicolored butter cream to give it more of a layered effect. Celebrating a Fall or Winter Wedding ?

If you are having a fall or winter wedding you have probably begun the countdown already. You are probably pretty well organized at the time and have everything you need book. That is such a great feeling. Now you are just waiting and taking care of the small odds and ends. Things like dress fittings, maybe getting a new outfit for your honeymoon, looking at wedding favors, stuff like that.

Have you ordered your wedding thank you note cards? If you haven’t I would suggest you take care of that now as well. Wedding Napkins and Other Fun Things

Planning for a wedding or a big event is a large undertaking. It takes a lot of coordinating, scheduling and details. It is a big day and there are a lot of things to think about. My Brother’s Wedding was last night. What an amazing wedding. I have to commend them, they did a wonderful job. They didn’t miss a beat, the black tuxes were offset by hot pink roses, the tables were set with ivory linens and a pink floral center piece. Drinks were served on personalized beverage napkins. The napkins were monogrammed with the bride and grooms initials embossed into the napkins. The wedding napkins were stunning.

The wedding was dimly lit and the room was full of music, dancing and laughter. I had front row to see the bride and groom cutting the cake. There was the mother son first dance, the bouquet toss and the guarder toss. We laughed and howled as the events took play. A wedding, what a fun occasion. The Camera flashes captured the joy of the wedding. My brother and his new wife did it. They planned an amazing wedding.

Claire, I also recommend the Personalized Foil-Stamped Napkins. I personalized the napkins for my wedding last month and also was VERY happy I did. The Custom napkins really add a personal touch. I am a sucker for the little details. I recently went to a friend’s wedding and fell in love with the monogramed personalized napkins! I’m getting married myself next year and was debating getting the personalized napkins for the wedding, but now I’m convinced they are the perfect detail. I guess being a guy I didn’t realize how important these little details are until my fiance and I went to a friends wedding and not only did they forget cocktail napkins, but the appetizers were not good. We love our friends no matter what but we learned a lot from that experience so six months later at our wedding we made sure to order tons of embossed napkins to match our theme,glad we did too because everyone thought it looked really good.

Just went to a wedding this weekend and I was so annoyed because I couldn’t find a freaking napkin to save my life unless I walked four miles across the ballroom back to my table to use my non-absorbent cloth napkin. Who forgets napkins? They are essential to any gatehring with food, beverages or should I say alcohol? Get them!!!
