Creative Back to School Fashon tips to save money

khass @ 9:37 am

Back to school means back to school shopping. The back to school list can be long and include a laundry list of new things your kids will need and stuff they will want. With a tough economy and everyone trying to save a few dollars it may not be practical to buy your kids a new wardrobe for the fall and winter school season. This year try something new. Save money on the clothes and back to school items your kids love. Your kids will be happy they are getting new fall trends and you will be happy to have some money left in the bank for the important things.

Before you do any shopping go through all your kids things. It has been a year now they probably have forgotten about a lot of their fall and winter clothes from last year.

Here are a few tips to save money this year:

1.See what stuff they have. Have them try clothes on to see what fits and what doesn’t. Anything that doesn’t fit put to the side to be donated to another family member or charity.

2. Get creative. Mix and match clothing items that have not been worn together before.

3. Look for local resale shops or children’s clothing sale events. You can get some amazing deals on lightly worn kid’s clothes that are stylish and your kids will love. Put them in the the wash and your kids may never know they are used.

4. Look for clothing clearance sales in your favorite stores. sign up for online emails and print and bring in coupons

These tips will help you save money on back to school kid’s clothes. Your kids will also need other back to school supplies like calculators, pens, folders and personalized notepads.

Save on these back to school items as well, look for sales at local stores and buy all your personalized notepad stationery at invitepapers.com.

Little Things Like Guest Towels…..

Barret @ 2:02 pm

You usually order your personalized guest towels at the same time you order your personalized napkins for the big day’s reception. Personalized guest towels adorn bathrooms, sinks, and areas where there’s open water for washing purposes.  If you’re planning an outdoor wedding in a park, near a monument or Lake try strategically placing personalized guest towels near fountains, water fountains, and unique points of reference on the serving tables at the reception. Try to place personalized napkins and guest towels in and around displays for convenience and effect.

Coordinating a day of activities for a wedding can be both rewarding and time consuming, sometimes plain overwhelming. After you’ve determined your location, time, guest list, invitations, accessories, are you still having problems with personalized napkins? You can order complementary guest towels in a wide variety of colors and styles, beverage napkins, and luncheon napkins too. If you are following a theme it makes sense that you order everything from the same company.

Plenty of companies come to mind when considering the little things that matter most. As with choosing personalized guest towels and napkins, everything from foil stamped, monogrammed, embossed, and monogrammed embossed comes to mind. The guest towel is not considered a primary tool for your wedding reception, dinner, or after party. It is there to create, sincerity and warmth just like all the other personal stationery you have ordered for your big day. There’s no end to the variety of styles, thoughts, and memories you can elicit just by carefully reviewing the selections and making good choices based on your experience in others. Memorable guest towels, napkins, coasters and favors are only as memorable as the messages that present and the rainbow of colors they appear in: Ivory, Mocha, Pastel Pink, Gold and more.

Personalized Napkins for your Party

Barret @ 5:22 pm

Where has the summer gone? It seemed like last week I finally put away my snow shovel and dusted off my garden trowel. My summer sandals haven’t been broken in yet. Now it is time to plan for those big holiday parties. I really do enjoy hosting the big ones: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and even the Super Bowl. But was walking down the streets, enjoying the weather, and doing some storefront shopping, and I see that a store had put up their Halloween products.

You bet I stopped in my tracks.

Not because I had to roll my eyes at the unseen store manager wanting to get a head start. It was because the season will be on us fast, and I have some planning to do. Purchase the tablemats, research the party games, and build the list of guests to come. Even begin the arduous task of pulling out the decorations to make sure last year’s party wasn’t wild enough to damage the dancing ghost I always put up.

But there is something I always have to replace every year: Personalized napkins with the current year and a Halloween graphic. I also have to plan on creating my personalized invitations according to the theme of the party. Yeah…..I go all out. But it doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg. That is why I love personalized napkins. They are affordable, fun, and disposable. Perfect for any party you are planning.

Before you know it, Aunt Margaret will be calling you, wondering how much stuffing she should be bringing to the Thanksgiving party. So, if you are a big planner for parties; like ME, then you are going to have to get your schedule together soon. The seasons will be on us soon, and Santa Claus will want to use your Personalized Holiday Napkins to clean off the milk from his beard.

The Art of Wedding Invitations

Barret @ 1:36 pm

The wedding is on its way, sooner than you think, have you allotted yourself enough time, are you planning your own, maybe you’re the proud mother in law to be? Regardless of who you are if you have a wedding to plan you’ll be asking other people more questions than you planned and arranging a schedule to get everything done. All things aside, first things first, how many people will you be inviting? Do you know where you can get the best personalized wedding invitations? Have you looked at InvitePapers.com selections yet?

Weddings can conjure up so many unique scenes and images. You’ll want to make those golden moments last for as long as you can. Guests are already leaving the church to head to the reception in the park.  Personalize Invitations heralded the garden wedding  and reception to follow. No one knew you rented it. The backyard wedding reception is adorned with lots of extra personalized napkins, coasters, and wedding favors and extra wedding reception menu cards at the front of the reception near the cocktail bar. The whole scene has you stop to catch your breath. The guests are just beginning to arrive and the presentation is breath taking. You want to capture that same type of magic for your own wedding and you can’t help but notice the personalized monogrammed multi-colored beverage napkins, monogrammed luncheon napkins and guest towels, the understated touch of elegance that they give to the whole affair.

You’ve heard this before. You will hear it again, and again and again. Your wedding invitations will be the first and only introduction your guests receive for the fated day. Take advantage of the opportunity. Most advise you to select “the perfect invitation” when in reality there is no such thing. Your personalized wedding invitations should create a mood, express an emotion, get your guests attention and demand they respond quickly. Bright and festive colors are attention getting but  would your guests be turned on more by unique color combinations like purple and pale blue or pastel pink and burgundy. One thing is certain about creativity, it will get you noticed. It can lend itself to truly personalized invitations where you might even try quotes from literature or lyrics from a song to make your wedding’s theme more relevant, effective and more entertaining to prospective guests.

InvitePapers.com offers a truly rich and extensive selection of   personalized wedding invitations in traditional, romantic, and modern styles with just as many fonts and lay out options. InvitePapers.com exits to help create a fine quality wedding invitation that will properly entice and inform your guests in the manner that you feel best suits your wedding.

There are fifty one items on the site to review. Take your time. Create the right feel and setting with personalized invitations, programs, napkins, and reception menus. Bel Amour, Bourdeaux, Catania, Embassy, Gold & Navy Minuet Knightsbridge, Marseilles, Yorkshire, La Tour, Pearl Chablis, Coventry, Dover, had to mention a few. Many are raised, embossed, monogrammed, bordered in elegant patterns, rich textured paper in your choice of lettering that you can further personalize with  your own composition.

Taking great care to select and send personalized wedding invitations will mean you will want the same theme reinforced in every aspect of the events that make up the day. Personalized wedding invitations should let the guests know to expect something special.  Whatever happens after the ceremony will only reinforce the idea that the wedding was a once in a lifetime event, ladened with  attention to quality  and detail represented in the arrangement of  the buffet, cake table, cocktails, and food islands or whatever you’ve organized for your guests. Multi-colored personalized napkins and favors would add a unique flair. Coordinating the whole wedding in the same color scheme with your invitations along with lace, favors, and monograms would really create something unique once more.   InvitePapers.com specializes in creating weddings to remember and we are only happy to help you realize your own unique wedding.

Personalized Anniversary Announcements

Barret @ 2:39 pm

Wow!! It’s been fifty years!  And you are as still in love as ever!  A 50th wedding anniversary is enough for any couple to be proud of.  You want to make your anniversary special!  You want to set it apart from your other anniversaries!  How do you start off the celebration?  How do you announce such an extraordinary event?  What do you say?  How do you pick the right anniversary announcement?  Well, there are a variety of elegant possibilities just right for your momentous anniversary.

This milestone event in your life can be just as expressive as your married life has been.  There is so much history in the 50 years you’ve been together. It may be a good idea to start at the beginning: include in your anniversary announcement when and where you got married.  Another way of showing the history between you two is to include a picture of you from then and now.  You could also add a family verse or phrase that is important to you.

There are many ways to customize your anniversary announcement.  Think of the theme of your celebration: is it going to be a formal black tie affair or is it going to be a casual party with your family and friends?  In the case of a formal affair, you might want to use a card with a light color stock such as white or a light pastel and a flowing script text.  If the theme is a casual one, you could choose bright bold colors such as green and blue with a nice solid text.  Just make sure that any announcement you pick is tailored to you and your tastes, incorporating the theme of the celebration.

One way of accenting the theme of your 50th anniversary celebration is with personalized napkins.  The napkins can be monogrammed with your initials or have your names on them. A distinct idea might be to connect your anniversary announcement and the personalized napkins by having a verse or family phrase printed on both. To further the idea of connecting the theme of your anniversary, you can have your personalized announcements and napkins both the same color.

No matter what the theme of your anniversary, remember that your 50th anniversary is going to be a romantic occasion for all to remember.  It’s about celebrating the love that you two share.  It’s about all the good times you have enjoyed and bad times that you triumphed through. The joy of a lifetime together is one to be cherished and celebrated.  We here at InvitePapers.com congratulate you and wish you many more years of exquisite memories.

Save the Date Announcements

Barret @ 12:09 pm

There are all kinds of events in life: having a baby, getting married, anniversaries, birthdays, and fundraisers to name a few.  Save the date announcements are a good, personal way of keeping people informed of what events are coming up.

Save the date announcements are commonly used for weddings, but they can be used for so many other events.  For instance, when my wife and I found out we were going to have a child, we used a personalized save the date card with the baby’s due date as an announcement.  I discovered another use for save the date cards after I attended a charity fundraiser.  I received a personalized invitation card a few months later saving the date for the next year.  A third example is when my parents had their 30th wedding anniversary.  I sent a save the date card for the celebration a year ahead of time.  There are a variety of situations that you can creatively use a save the date card.

You may ask yourself, “Why use a save the date card?”  Save the date cards act as a ‘pre-invitation’ as well as announce the event.  Personalized announcements can set off the tone for the event. If it is a light-hearted event, you can customize the card by using bright colors. If it is a more formal event, you can have more even toned colors with elegant cursive writing.  You can have use a forest green eco-friendly card if you are throwing an Earth Day fundraiser. If you are going to have a destination wedding, you can have a picture of the place you are going. A pair of my friends had their wedding in Tokyo, Japan.  So, they had a picture of a kimono in the background of the card. When I entered my senior year of college, my parents had sent out save the date cards shaped like graduation caps to all my relatives, just to remind them I was graduating.

Another reason for a save the date announcement is to make sure that your guests are free for the event.  I had the unfortunate luck to have made an appointment near one of my best friend’s birthday and had to miss their 30th birthday celebration.  If he had only sent a Save the Date card in advance I, along with a couple of other friends, would not have needed to miss the party.

No matter what the occasion, if you don’t have guests you can’t have the event.  Save the date personalized invitations are an easy way of ensuring the guests know the date of your event.  Since they received the invitation so far in advance, you are more than likely making sure that the guests will attend your function.  Prepare ahead of time: send save the date cards, and you won’t have to worry about people forgetting your event.

Personalized Wedding Napkins

Barret @ 4:24 pm

I love weddings.  I love everything about them: the chapel, the reception hall, the guests, the food, the music, the decorations and the reception.  I don’t think there is anything better when two people love each other enough to commit.  I have been to my share of weddings.  And I have to admit I tend to compare them.  Over the years, I’ve noticed one thing that is often over looked.  That one thing that sets an ordinary wedding from becoming an elegant celebration of love is the napkins.

You might think that the napkins aren’t an important part of the wedding.  But from what I have observed, personalizing the napkins to your wedding makes the difference between ordinary and unique.  Wedding napkins serve an important function from the moment guests arrive at the reception hall until they leave.  Personalized napkins will be required at every aspect of the reception.  From drinks to cake serving, you will want your special touch for your guests to experience.  The best wedding I was ever at as a guest had wedding napkins for every stage of the reception.

This wedding had cocktail napkins used at the refreshment bar, hors devours table, and cake table.  They had a short message printed on cocktail and beverage napkins.  It said “Thank You for Sharing Our Day” along with the bride and groom’s names and wedding date.

The dinner napkins were folded around the silverware, secured with a decorative napkin ring, and placed directly at the dinner table place settings.  When I opened the napkin, it revealed an elegant three-letter monogram printed on the center.  I thought that little touch of revealing the monogram added a unique air of sophistication to their wedding.

Another addition that I noticed was that monogrammed guest towels were used in the bathrooms for guests to dry their hands.  Normally paper towels are available in public and rented halls, but in using personalized guest towels, they made the family and friends feel like nobility.

I also remember how they used the personalized napkins at their rehearsal dinner.  They used luncheon napkins for their buffet.  The luncheon napkins were in three colors, to match their wedding motif, and were stacked in a ‘swirled’ fashion at the beginning of the buffet line.  They used the same monogram that was used in the reception but added a catchy phrase that I found entertaining.  It was like a preview of the next day’s festivity.

This wedding was one that I’ll always remember.  The detail that the bridal couple went into for their guests was amazing.  They understood how personalized napkins made a difference in their wedding.  All the guests liked the reception, but I remember they kept mentioning how nice the napkins were.  It was a fun wedding.

A Weekend Wedding

Barret @ 3:22 pm

I went to a wedding last weekend in Minneapolis.  As a critic of invitations, personalized stationery, and personalized napkins, I found myself in the role of participant and observer.  Oh, the wedding was my nephew’s.  Back to the subject – he’s twenty-nine and the bride is twenty-something.

personalized stationeryTheir invitations were nicely crafted, possibly made on their pc.  The invitations included a nice color theme – an aqua blue that was featured in the typography and the paper choice.  The motif was two birds, facing each other.  Wow, this is starting to sound boring !  Let’s get onto the weekend events:

Friday night was rehearsal dinner, Saturday afternoon was the wedding.  The reception was at 5:00 pm and there was a brunch on Sunday morning.  A complete weekend, indeed.  Let’s start with the rehearsal dinner.  It was at an ornate Italian-themed pasta restaurant very close to the University of Minnesota campus.  I’m so sorry, I cannot remember the name of it or I would give a plug – it was a little ragged around the edges, but in a surprisingly good way – in other words – it was old and spacious with plenty of character.  There were at least fifty guests, maybe sixty or seventy – a large rehearsal dinner by my standards.  But, I see that this has been a trend.    Is it possible that rehearsal dinners could sometime rival the wedding reception itself ?

The wedding was in a modern church with a western wall that was all glass or nearly so.  Music during the service was simple.  There was a grand piano with a classical pianist and beautiful music was the order of the day.  Die Traumeri by Schumann was dreamy (of course) and reverberated nicely off the modern hard-edged walls.

The reception was held on the campus of the University in an ultramodern hall in the Campus Alumni building.  If you’re ever on the campus and have a chance to see this building, and hopefully, enter it, I recommend this – the space is asymetical and suprising in its use of materials, edges, and flat planes.  This hall was a large cube with a very high ceiling.  With 150 or 200 attendees, everyone fit nicely.   The buffet dinner was wonderful.  The DJ did a great job.  Everyone danced.  What an evening !

All in all, it was a nicely planned wedding with a nice progression of events and excellent attention to detail.
