The Secret about Wedding Invitations

Taylor Field @ 12:30 pm

Before you start shopping for wedding invitations, let me let you in on a little secret. If you want to save yourself a ton of money and be able to shop the largest selection all you need to do is to go online.

That’s right, save yourself time and skip the local print stores. They are going to charge you the highest prices around and take the longest amount of time to complete your order. Don’t even waste your time checking them out, you have plenty of running around to do for you big day already.

When it comes to wedding invitations, the internet reigns supreme. This is all because of the fact that the internet is the most competitive place to shop for any type of merchandise. You can make your custom wedding thank you cards and invitations on the Internet, with thousands of templates to choose from and plenty of elegant designs.

If these online stores want to remain competitive the best way for them to achieve this is through their pricing and through the speed in which they ship out orders. If you are lucky, you can find a business that competes in both markets and that will charge you the most reasonable prices and get your order shipped out to you right away.

Although the print stores in your area would like you to think otherwise, the process of printing does not require weeks or months to complete. In fact, the process is very simple and can be done in a relatively short amount of time.

Why do the print stores tell you that your order won’t be ready for weeks? Perhaps they don’t carry the invitations in stock and need to order them, or maybe they just like to give themselves a large window of time to process orders.

You will find a number of internet printers that are nothing like that. They will be able to tell you before you place your order how long it will take before it is shipped. There will be no last minute surprises or hold ups.

When you order something from a reliable print store online, they know what a competitive market they are in and they will want to impress you as best as they can so that you can refer their business to everyone that you know.

That’s the secret, if you need wedding invitations or any type of personalized paper product, the only place to go is online.

Wedding Invitation Cards: What Should Be Included?

Taylor Field @ 4:23 pm

Sometimes opening a wedding invitation is like opening a deck of cards: there are so many invitation cards included that it’s hard to keep track of.

Now that you’re planning a wedding you can understand why there are so many different cards – there’s a lot of information you need to give! There aren’t any hard and fast rules on what to include in the invite, so take a look at the information you need to give, and what you can leave up to your guests.

Reply Cards – These used to be a must, but some people are beginning to limit their wedding invitation cards by letting guests register online. If you decide to use reply cards, try to include envelopes that are stamped and addressed.

That will make your life and your guests’ lives easier – and they are more likely to respond. Or create a postcard – just make sure your card is properly sized to go through the postal service. Stick a stamp on the back and address it and you’ve saved yourself a bit of money.

Reception Cards – If all of your information about the reception won’t fit on the invite, you might consider creating a separate card detailing the reception information. This is helpful if your reception location requires a map or special directions.

Creating a reception card is helpful if you plan on inviting some people to the wedding but not the reception – you can print out the cards you need for the reception and include them for guests that are invited.

Pew Cards – Often at larger weddings, a section of seats are saved for special guests or older relatives. Creating cards with directions on where the guests sit can then be given to the ushers.

Transportation Cards – If you have shuttles for guests between hotels and sites or instructions on what parking lots should be used, a card detailing what the guests should do and where they should go is helpful. Not only does it dispel confusion on the day itself, but it helps guests plan their transportation prior to the event.

Name and address cards – If you want to alert the guests to the new name and address of the couple, this would be a convenient way to do it. This can be seen as very traditional, but a modern couple can find this useful – if the couple decides to hyphenate their name or if the couple is taking on a last name different from either of their previous last names, this is a good way to announce that to friends and family prior to the ceremony.

While it might seem overwhelming, including these different wedding invitation cards in with the main invite itself is a good way to package all of your wedding information cohesively.

The Perfect Wedding Invitation

Taylor Field @ 12:27 pm

I was looking for the perfect wedding invitation but having a hard time finding anything close to what I had in mind. My wedding was in the springtime and I wanted something bright and vibrant. All I could find were traditional style invitations in pastels.

Sometiems it can be really difficult to shop for something when you know exactly what you want and already have an image of it in mind. This is exactly what was happening to me while I was in search if the perfect wedding invitation.

I wanted a springtime wedding because I loved the season. I loved the bright vivacious colors that the springtime brought and I wanted bold and bright colors in my wedding. I selected bright daisies for the bouquet and flowers and I wanted these colors carried out in my wedding reception invitation design.

After looking at what was offered at the various printers located in my area, I was very unhappy with the selection at hand. Not only could I not find any invitations that were bright in color, but I couldn’t find any that had daisies either. I was beginning to think that I would just have to pick out something that I didn’t absolutely love.

Before I admitted defeat and just picked a random invitation I wanted to exhaust every available option that I had. I decided to try the internet just to see if I could find something close to what I had in mind.

Within seconds I had dozens of options to choose from. There were a number of online printers that offered a large selection of invitations. After browsing through a few different online stores and checking out the merchandise I was surprised by how affordable some of the invitations were.

I decided to focus my search on the stores that offered the lowest prices. If I could find the perfect invitation and save myself some money I would be thrilled! I should’ve thought about shopping online a long time ago. I always had better luck finding exactly what I was looking for online.

And then, all of a sudden, I saw it. A beautiful bright blue invitation covered with the outlines of hundreds of daisies. It was exactly what I had been looking for. It used my flower and the color of the invitation was bright and vibrant.

Needless to say, I ordered the invitations and waited for them with extreme anticipation.

Wedding Invitation Cards: Ideas To Get You Started

Taylor Field @ 4:25 pm

Invitation cards seem easy when you start – pick out a paper, pick out a font and you’re done. As soon as you start looking for cards that match your personality and style, things get complicated. How do you make your invitations stand out and show off who you are as a couple?

Use your site for inspiration. Perhaps you’re getting married in an elegant old postal office. Draw from that to inspire your invitation cards. Look through images of old stamps to find something that could tie your invites to your spot.

Maybe it’s just as simple as using a square invite with perforated edges that mirror a stamp’s look. One couple was engaged on a hot air balloon. This romantic moment was recalled through a balloon image on the corner of their invites.

Use your words. Invitation cards seem to have formulaic wording, but that doesn’t have to be the case. Be adventurous. Make the largest thing on your invitation the ampersand that joins your two names together – it becomes a design feature and a symbol of what the day is all about.

A couple who was married last year created a story with their invite – several cards were included in the invitation, each telling a line of their love story. The first line? “It wasn’t love at first sight.” A great teaser and a great way to tell the story that your guests might not know.

Make it about you two. Perhaps you are both musicians. What better way to show off your style then to make the wedding invitation look like a vintage concert poster?

Or maybe one of you is a filmmaker. One couple used those skills to create a killer save the date that gained Internet buzz way beyond the couple’s guest list. The invitations, luckily, came later.

Make it complete. If you are having a wedding extravaganza that includes multiple days of events, creating a complete package of information is essential. It can also be fun. Create a stylish folder that includes all of the information. Style it with tabs or different sized sheets of paper for easy reading and organizing.

Size and shape it. Use a different scale to attract attention. Create a large fold-out invite that resembles a map. Mark out different locales – first date, first kiss, where you live and where you are moving.

Be sure that the church and reception hall are prominently marked! Or use an unusual shape – one couple who was having a beach wedding used a die-cut starfish shape for their invite.

Using a bit of creativity, your invite can become a work of art that will be treasured years after you say “I do.”

Invitations: Wedding Day

Taylor Field @ 12:17 pm

Are you looking for affordable invitations? Wedding invitations do not have to cost a fortune. There are a number of options that are available that will help you to reduce the cost of your invitations.

When it comes to modern invitations, wedding invites are the most complicated. People add so many different options to them that an invitation that seemed affordable can double in price after you add all of the extras.

One way that you can save yourself some money is to skip some of the extras. While maps of the receptions halls are nice additions, people can easily use their GPS or look at a map online if they are uncertain about the exact location of your reception. You can easily skip the maps without anyone even noticing.

Another thing that you can skip out on with your invitations is including a dinner menu. People know that dinner will be served and no matter what you serve them, they are going to come if they want to support you on your special day. Skip the menu and no one will be the wiser.

There are some other additions to the invitations that do have a more important purpose to them such as reply cards. Many couples have found other ways to circumvent these pricey additions. Some add on a regrets only portion to their invitation, and some just skip the step altogether.

You can also save money by choosing to not add on stamps to return envelopes or by sending out regrets only cards. That way you won’t need to even include postage and you can save yourself some money off of the high cost of postage. Or better yet, direct your guests to an email or website where they can respond to the invitation.

Ultimately when it comes to invitations, wedding invites are traditionally more formal, but you can select whatever you like for your special day, even if you would rather send a special one page invitation on some wedding stationery.

This is a great alternative to the formal invite and it will save you tons of money. You can even have these professionally printed. Online printers will offer you the best prices on invitations and stationery.

A lot of couples are looking for ways to stick to a budget when it comes to wedding planning. It is a smart decision to make. You can still end up with nice invitations that serve their purpose well without having to cost you a fortune.

The Gift of Personalized Stationery

Taylor Field @ 12:14 pm

I remember the days of sitting down with a pen and paper and some personalized stationery to write loved ones a letter. I also fondly remember walking out to the mailbox with excitement with the hope of receiving a reply. It seems as if the old-fashioned ways of communicating with each other were dying out and being replaced with new technology.

I felt as if everybody were in such a rush that they no longer took the time to hand write anything anymore. This was such a shame. Our instant gratification generation was wiping out one of the oldest means of communication, writing.

Keyboards were replacing pens and pencils and the internet had taken over the postal service. While I did appreciate this new technology, I also longed for the days when I would get to sit down and read a hand written letter. The only things delivered to my mailbox nowadays were bills.

One afternoon, I received a colorful envelope that was addressed to me in handwriting. I could feel a rush of excitement come over me. I opened the envelope and it read:

Dear Grandma:

I received this awesome personalized stationery as a present for my birthday. I wanted to write my first letter to you. It is so nice to be able to write a letter on my personalized paper. It even has my name and address on the top. School is going great and I can’t wait to see you at Christmas break. I have a lot of plans already for your visit. We will be baking cookies and going to the movies! Just wanted to write you about how excited I am for you to visit. See you soon!

Love Always,

As I set the letter down I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. It felt wonderful to read such a beautiful letter written on such beautiful stationery. I put the letter up on my refrigerator so that I could look at it often and think about my upcoming visit.

I sat down to write my granddaughter a note expressing my excitement over receiving the note and telling her that I am also looking forward to my visit. Then a thought dawned on me, maybe all of my grandchildren needed some of their own stationery to encourage them to write letters. I decided to purchase them each a set so that they could learn for themselves the magic of letter writing.

Personalized Cards for Everyday Use

Taylor Field @ 12:10 pm

Looking for a great way to send out general correspondence to your friends? Personalized cards are the ideal way to stay in touch with everyone from your cousin that lives out of state to your old schoolmates.

Sometimes, it just feels better to sit down and write out a note instead of picking up the phone to have a quick chat or sending someone off an informal email. While it’s always great to email and call your friends, sending  out personalized paper will have a much more potent affect. There is something that is much more personal about receiving a hand written letter opposed to a phone call or email.

Personalized cards are a great way to show someone that you were sincerely thinking about them and that you wanted to reach out to them. They show that you took the time to personally write out a note to someone that you care about.

A lot of people always find them selves in a rush and don’t take the time to hand write notes anymore. If you keep your note cards in a handy place and keep some stamps close by, you can send out a personal note in just a few minutes. It really is that easy.

This is especially true when it comes to situations in which a phone call or email just won’t suffice. If you want to show gratitude to someone for a gift or a something special that they did for you, it is common courtesy to take the time to write out a formal thank you.

The extra few minutes that you spend on the correspondence will be much appreciated. Especially if you use note cards that have been personalized. These cards are quite impressive and always seem to come in handy.

Personalized note cards are great for multi-purpose tasks. If you need a thank-you note, just add in a personal thank you and your recipient will appreciate your thoughtfulness. Or, if you want to send out a quick invite for a small party or dinner, just write out a few invitations on your note cards.

You can also use these notes to correspond with teachers, parents, friends, and for anyone else that you just need to send a short note too. You will find countless ways to use these cards so make sure that you place a large order when you buy them!

All-Purpose Wedding Stationery

Taylor Field @ 12:06 pm

In this day and age it is perfectly acceptable to use elegant stationery to serve as an invitation. Wedding stationery, along with wedding thank you cards, is an elegant and creative way to mail out correspondence for your big day. Some people are even foregoing traditional invitations altogether and using this stationery to double as an invite.

If you are getting married and experiencing sticker shock over every item that you purchase and service that you book, here is a small reprieve for you: you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on your invitations. In fact, you can tastefully invite gusts to your wedding for one hundred dollars or less.

Wedding stationery is the perfect way to save money on your invitations. The paper and design will be of the highest quality and will certainly impress the recipients. You can select an elegant heading for the top of the stationery and select a scripted font to add extra sophistication.

Then, you can have the wedding stationery professionally printed with all of the details of your nuptials. You can still purchase separate rely cards to send along with the stationery. Your professionally printed stationery will look just as good as an invitation and cost you a fraction of the price.

A number of new brides and grooms are deciding to cut back on invitation spending so that they can use the bulk of their budget for wedding day festivities. The wedding reception itself should be the main focus for your budget. You want your guests to enjoy themselves in celebrating your wedding day.

Allow yourself an adequate amount of money to spend on your dress, the reception, and on transportation. Anything that directly affects your actual wedding day should take precedence when it comes to budgeting. This is an important principle to adhere to.

You also want to make sure that you preserve all of the memories from that special day so you will want to splurge on photography and videography. The day will fly by so fast that you want to have videos and photos to look through to relive the special magic of your wedding day.

If you are looking for ways to cut corners off your wedding budget invitations are a great area to work with. You will want your special day to turn out wonderful. Don’t cut back on things that you really want, cut back on areas that won’t affect your wedding day.

Invitations for Wedding Celebrations

Taylor Field @ 12:04 pm

I had been in search of invitations for wedding celebrations. I could not afford the high prices for the invitations that my local print store charged so I decided to try to find another alternative. My budget for my wedding was tight and I was already having a hard enough time trying to stick to it.

First I looked into making my own invitation cards celebrations. I had seen kits at my local craft store that were supposed to help you make your own invites. I went to the craft store and read the back of the kit. It seemed extremely complicated.

I didn’t like the fact that the kit said that it was incompatible with certain operating systems. I did not know much about computers, but I did know that I wasn’t going to waste fifty dollars on a kit that might not even work.

Next I decided to go to a party store and see what types of invitations for wedding celebrations that they carried. I was completely disappointed. They only carried cheap looking generic cards that would never suffice. Although I had to stick to a budget, I did not want my wedding to look cheap.

I was becoming very anxious about the entire situation. It was a challenge to adhere to a very strict budget for my wedding and I had no idea how expensive invitations were. I had to find another place to purchase invitations that was more affordable otherwise I was going to have to cancel the limo.

My aunt suggested that I look online to see if I could find a printer that could make the cards for a much more affordable price. I went onto the computer and searched for wedding invitations.

I was instantly connected to dozens of sights that offered wedding invitations. After comparing a few of them I was quite pleased to find out that I could have simple, tasteful wedding invitations printed for a very reasonable price.

I had the option of selecting cards without all of the expensive bells and whistles that still looked elegant and professional without breaking my budget. The invitations were perfect. They looked great and they cost exactly what I had in mind with my budget. Thankfully I would still be able to afford the limo.

I could not wait for them to arrive so that I could proudly send them out!

Personalized Invitation Cards for the Holidays

Taylor Field @ 12:01 pm

Are you hosting a special holiday party? Why not making your party even more special by having personalized invitation cards printed out for your guests? You may be surprised to find out how affordable personalized wedding invites can be if you order them online.

When you purchase fill-in-the-blank cards from a party store your invitation cards will certainly be lacking a personal touch. Quite often the selection available of generic invitations is so limited that you may only be able to find invites that coincide with the particular type of party that you are hosting so you will have to select a basic invitation.

Another downside of these cards is that there is never enough room to include all of the information that you would like add. Any special messages that you may want to include on the invitation must be squeezed on somewhere and the card ends up looking sloppy and informal.

For a very affordable price, you can have a personalized invitation made that will convey whatever message that you choose. You can wish your recipients a warm holiday season and ask that they join you for a celebration. Let your guests now what time you are planning on welcoming them and anything else that you would like to include about the celebration.

There are many options that will be available to you in selecting your personalized invitations. You will be able to select the color of the invite and the coordinating envelope. Font selection and size will also be another important option that you have.

You will also have the option of including any special messages on the card or perhaps even include a menu featuring the delectable dishes that you will be serving for dinner. You can be as creative or as straightforward as you’d like to be. You can select a card that is simple, or one that is more elaborate.

You will be able to find online exactly what you are looking for. In no time you can select a card that suites your personal taste and will serve as the perfect invitation for your special gathering. Online printers will be able to get your order sent out to you within a day or so that you will have plenty of time to mail out your invites.

Personalized invitation cards are a warm and welcoming way to invite people to your home for a special holiday celebration.
